My fourth and last tattoo.
My favorite new addition. :)
For those of you who don't already know, I love typography. I've loved it with my very first typography course in college when everything was drawn with rapidograph pens and black sharpies. Those were the days. Something about letterforms... they are so beautiful and each has so much character. I can browse through font/typography sites all day (if I had the time!).
Not too long ago, I discovered the works of a very young and talented designer/typographer/illustrator, Jessica Hische. I initially saw her work on her Daily Drop Cap project website and fell in-love with her work. Every letter is hand drawn and designed with such intricacy. Each conveys a very different feeling. She's really talented in what she does and inspires me daily as I view a new and unique letter.
So one day I came across the "A" shown HERE. I wasn't really looking for a tat artwork, but the thought was on my mind. When I saw this "A", it struck me and I just knew I wanted this inked. So what's so special about this "A"? Yes, it's my hubby's initial, but there's more to it. At first glance, I immediately saw two letters. Two letters with big meanings in my life. Obviously, the "A" for my hubby's name, but there's also an "M" for my Mia. Look at the 2 colors individually and you'll see it. This was perfect--combines my love for my family and my love for beautiful typography. I just love the delicacy of the thin lines and elegance of it's simplicity. So there you have it. No.4!

NO freakin way! Those are so cool. Ouchy though, no? I've always wanted one but never followed through with it. They say once you get one, its all over. You'll want another. I like your choices (=
